Shout out to DJ Steve Porter for crushing the viral videos scene with over 5 million YouTube plays. Press Hop is his follow up effort after the Rap Chop. These videos have landed Porter remix deals with FedEx. I’m looking forward to seeing what he will have blowing up YouTube next.

Asher Roth and crew cover the Black Eyed Peas “Boom Boom Pow” joint at Live Lounge. Although the Fergie solo had me laughing and Asher was heavily plugging his new album “Asleep In The Bread Aisle,” it was a solid cover and looked fun. Live drums were fresh too.

Went to the Ogden Theatre last night and boyhollow opened for MSTRKRFT, who killed it!!! Boyhollow is working with AEG Live to bring more shows like this so stay tuned.

I DJ’d at the Robusto Room last night and homie, Jay, reminded me of a request from last week for Brooklyn Girls. I spaced checking it out, so I gave myself a note to do so today. Man, I have been missing out. Charles Hamilton’s voice creates a unique sound as it flows nice over the D minor beat. From the looks of 700K+ plays on YouTube, it shows Hamilton is on his way to big places. Look forward to hearing more from him. Good looking out Jay.

Without any notable air play, the Black Eyed Peas new hit Boom Boom Pow is already creating a buzz in the club.  Looks like they’ll have a new album dropping sometime this spring or summer. I will be posting as more releases surface.
